Early History of BPGC
Great is thy Faithfulness,O LORD!

The church stared off as a Sunday School in 1959, the average attendence was about 30. In Decemeber 1963, it was officially known as Bukit Panjang Goespel Chapel

Our Late elder Tommy Cheong was seconded from Bethesda Hall (Bras Basah) to help in the work here in October 1965. Sunday Service began in the following year with the transfer of the Chinese Assembly from Woodlands Road to here. The first English Service as held on February 1967 with about 20 believers. The church became autonomous on 1st Juuly 1969.

The church was gutted by fire on 28 February 1972. A tent was erected for our Services whilst it was under construction. It was a day of recjoicing when we met to give thanks and dedicate the new building to the Lord on 24 November 1973. The church was again renovated to add an extension in May 1982.

The church was incoporated as a public company limited by guarantee on 16 October 1987. In june 1988, another extension was built; the church remained that way since then. At present, we have an average adult attendence of about 220.
